What Exactly Is Brow Lamination?

Essentially, it’s a perm, a brow relaxer made specifically for, well.. Your eyebrows. With efficient and completely safe to use products, your stylist can make those tough brows stay up, making it look fuller and thicker in the process. There can be many ways to do this, combing upwards or sideways or by using the length of your hairs to increase brow width.

It’s all dependent on your natural brows and desired results. The ultimate technique should be tailored for you and you only. Combing the brow hair in the direction you want helps cover gaps in your brows, achieving that perfectly full look that’s all over your favorite socials.

Who’s Good For Brow Lamination?

Brow laminations are safe and suitable for almost anyone. The non-invasive, affordable and high impact nature of the brow solution allows for the perfect look. Whether your concerns are over plucking, aging, thinning or general unruliness, brow lamination is an amazing and efficient solution to most, if not all brow issues.

However, it is important to understand that optimal brow lamination results are much more achievable if you have brow hair. Ideally, the hair should reach throughout the entirety of your eyebrow. This is because brow laminations can’t cover up big patches of missing hair or gaps in between.

And the best part is, you can get all these benefits in under an hour!

How Does the Lamination Process Work?

It aims to set your brows to a more uniform shape with repeated sessions for several weeks. Get those beautiful brows with little to no effort. Brow Laminations are similar to eye lash lifts but instead of curling your brows, setting solutions are used to keep your brow hair straight and steady in your desired position for approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

The process itself all starts by having the perming solution painted onto the brow. This loosen and prepares the hair bonds to be put into a direction and shape. The application is typically short, only lasting 5-8 minutes depending on your hair. Stubborn and more coarse hair can make it last for about another 1-2 minutes.

Once your brows are relaxed and shaped, a final fixing solution is applied which reforms the bonds into their new shape which allows for a longer result. The application time for the fixing solution is about 1-2 minutes with stubborn and coarse hair needing an extra 5.

The final step is adding and applying a nourishing solution which revitalizes your brows and leaves them well protected, smooth and shiny. This last step is essential in creating longer lasting results as well as healthier brows.

How Long Does It Last?

Laminated brows typically last up to two months, however with Plush Tan, we offer solutions to keep those eyebrows laminated for longer. We have everything you need to ensure those laminated brows look just as they were on day one.

To make sure that you’re getting the most benefits out of each lamination session. It’s important to avoid these things for the first 24 hours:

  • Rubbing or having your eyebrows wet
  • Applying creams or oils onto the eyebrow area
  • Applying makeup to your brow
  • Having a steamy shower, sauna, or other activities that work up a sweat.

Is Laminating at Home Possible?

It is completely possible to laminate at home. However, experience plays a big role in how satisfied you are going to be. If you’re still a little under-experienced, it’s important to consult with your stylist before trying.
