What Should I Wear to Tan?

While some people choose to wear a swimsuit or minimal clothing, the privacy of indoor tanning salons does allow for nude tanning in order to avoid streaks and tan lines. Is Indoor Tanning as Effective as Outdoor?

Indoor Tanning can be more effective than outdoor sun tanning due to its controlled environment. Light exposure and a majority of other important aspects can be controlled effectively to avoid over tanning and sunburns. Indoor tanning also allows for that healthy year-round tan that is unattainable through natural means.

How Long Do UV Tan Last?

Building up a tan from our UV tanning sessions can cause tans to last for almost a lifetime. What’s important is to maintain that tan through considerate and consistent sessions. Leaving a gap of anywhere between 1 to 2 weeks between tanning sessions is recommended.

How Do I Maintain My Tan?

A

It is best to avoid chlorinated water while the spray tan is still fresh and new on your skin as this can cause colours to fade faster, additionally, cutting down on the amount of shaving to a minimum is important as this exfoliates the skin. The best time to start normal skincare routines is after the tanning starts to fade naturally.

Am I Protected From The Sun With Spray Tan?

Spray tan solutions do not contain any sort of SPF or sun-blocking properties, it is still recommended to have sunblock on hand when going outside.

When Should I Shower After Spray Tan?

A

The best time frame to shower after spray tanning is at least 5 to 8 hours. It is also important to avoid any swimming or sweating as well as moisturizing products and exfoliation before the first shower to prevent any uneven streaks.

What Should/Shouldn’t Be Used On Skin After Tan?

Avoiding scented lotions, astringents, acidic cleaning solutions, and peroxides as any harsh chemicals can wear away the tan much more quickly. After the first shower, it is important to persistently moisturize with natural-fragrance free lotions.

Spray tans generally last for 7-10 days, depending on the coverage you requested; if you wanted a lighter color, your tan could fade more quickly.

Can i go out after my spray tan?

A

Yes you can but you need to be a bit careful after your spray tan, as the tan can take up to twelve hours to develop, depending on what kind of solution was used. While your tan is developing you should completely avoid getting wet. This includes perspiring, swimming, showering and/or getting caught in the rain.

Should I spray tan my face?

A

Yes you can, but if you are also getting a facial just before your spray tan. Then it’s a no. because the tanner will go into the open pores on the skin and create blackhead-looking spots on the skin.

Does my face mask effects my spray tan over my face?

A

Facials and face masks won’t remove your tan, but will instead benefit your skin by: Helping your skin look more even toned. Removing dead skin cells. Allowing for smoother, glowing skin that will make your skin and tan actually look more smoother.

Your Tan is fade after 1st UV Session.

A

People who are having pale to fair skin can experience fading between sessions if they are too far apart. Ideally, they should be as frequent as twice per week, as a minimum, to avoid this from happening. Otherwise, your skin will have more than enough time to regenerate and fight the melanin that was produced by being exposed to UV rays. Once you reach your desired color, your sessions will be farther apart, but you can maintain your tan between sessions by using sunblock and moisturizers.

What is the No# 1 rule to tan your body?

A

Is it necessary to get a doctor’s approval to tan?

A

No, but if you have a pre-existing ailment that you think may impair your experience, you should talk to your doctor.

Can I tan while wearing my contact lenses?

A

Although you can use your contact lenses during a tanning session, we recommend that you close your eyes and wear protective goggles.
